The World Health Organization has declared coronavirus a global emergency, as the outbreak continues to spread outside China.
“The main reason for this declaration is not what is happening in China but what is happening in other countries,” said WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
The fear is it can spread to countries with poorer health systems. Today the death toll in China is 170. The WHO said there were 98 cases outside of China in 18 counties but no deaths.
