Economy Minister Emil Karanikolov of Bulgaria announced that Bulgaria is in talk with the electric car maker Tesla, over possible investment in Bulgaria. Local media reports.
“We have two ambitions: the first is the production of cars and the second is the production of batteries for electric cars,” Karanikolov was quoted as saying in an interview published on 24 chasa.bg, http://www.seebiz.eu/ reports.
Karanikolov added that Bulgaria is ready to start manufacturing car parts with Tesla, but a car or electric battery factory would be a better option.
“We have sent a letter to their European office and we expect a response,” he said.
